How the suite fits together

Everything runs off one station account. The Scheduler builds logs for Playout-Pro, Playout-Pro drives the Studio Clock lamps and now-playing, Pro-Link drops a remote contributor into the mix, and the Show Planner and Back-Timer keep the hour on time.

    Sign in and pick your outputs

    Open Playout-Pro on the studio machine and sign in with your station account. In Settings choose the output device, how many cart players you want (four on desktop and tablet, two on a phone) and your mic input.

    Build your categories

    Categories mirror the Pro-Cast Scheduler: Music, Jingles, Beds, Ads and so on, each with sub-categories such as 80s or 90s. Click a category with sub-categories and a picker pops up so you can drop straight into one.

    Add your audio

    Hit Add on a category and pick files. A progress bar shows how far through the batch you are. Files named as conflicted copies are ignored, duplicates can be skipped, and every item gets a five-digit cart number automatically. Beta stations can hold 200 audio files.

    Load and play

    Drag or click an item into player A–D. Faders A–D open by default; Mic and Guest start closed. Trailing silence is trimmed automatically so items segue cleanly.

    Mic, ducking and EQ

    Open the mic fader to go live — the button shows green when open and red when muted. Music ducks under the mic automatically, and each player has a three-band EQ.

    Build the audio wall

    Switch to the wall, drop items onto pads for instant play, and use + New page to start another page of pads. Pages are saved to your account.

  7. 7

    Wire it to the Studio Clock

    With a fresh station, opening the mic lights MIC LIVE on the Studio Clock and the playing music track fills the now-playing ticker automatically — nothing to configure.
